SHIRO TAKATANI (JAPAN)

Born in 1963, Shiro studied Environmental Design at Kyoto City University of Arts. He joined Dumb Type as one of the founders in 1984, and has been involved especially in the visual and technical aspects. His woks focuses on environmental issues.

Shiro’s residency at Gertrude Contemporary was supported byJapan Foundation's  Australia-Japan Exchange Project 2006. His residency resulted in an exhibition of his work, Chrono, in Melbourne.
