DIRECTIONS:

Tram: From the city the Number 86 tram travels along Bourke Street, up Spring Street and then all the way up High Street to our Preston South gallery. Alight at Stop 42, Miller Street and look for the Gertrude Contemporary sign, you can't miss it.

 

Train: Alight at Thornbury Station, walk north along Ethel Street, turn right on Miller Street, and then left on to High Street. The gallery is 4-5 minutes walk from the station.

 

Drive: There is all day parking on Railway Place, two streets behind the gallery.

GERTRUDE GLASSHOUSE

Gertrude Glasshouse is located at 44 Glasshouse Road Collingwood, and is the home of our Gertrude Studio Artist Solo Exhibition Program. 

Glasshouse is supported by long-term patrons Michael Schwarz and David Clouston. Gertrude Glasshouse was designed by SIBLING. In 2016, Sibling received a commendation for Gertrude Glasshouse at the Victorian Architecture Awards in the Small Project Architecture category.

Thursday–Saturday, 12:00–5:00pm

Please note: the gallery is closed for public holidays and for installation between exhibitions. Gertrude Glasshouse is closed over summer from late December to late January each year.

DIRECTIONS:

Tram: From the CBD catch the 109 tram towards Box Hill alight at Wellington Street (Stop 16). Head North Wellington Street and turn left into Glasshouse Road.

OR

From the CBD catch the 86 tram towards Bundoora alight at Smith Street x Gertrude Street (Stop 16). Head North on Smith Street and turn right into Peel Street, cross Wellington Street and continue straight onto Glasshouse Road.


Train: Catch the train to Collingwood Station on the Hurstbridge or South Morang line. Walk South away from the Station and turn right into Gipps Street. Walk along Gipps Street (over Hoddle Street) for about 5 minutes and turn left into Rokeby Street, then right into Glasshouse Road.

 

Drive: There are 1hr and 2hr parking spots along Wellington Street, Langridge Street, Peel Street and in the surrounding areas.
