FUMIKO KOBAYASHI (JAPAN)

Fumiko Kobayashi, who trained as a painter now works in assemblage and installation. She has exhibited in Japan, Taiwan, Korea, India, Kenya, Ireland, and Australia. Recent exhibition includes Hiroshima Art Project 2009 (2009), solo show Traveling・No return (2009, Stifung Kunstlerdorf Schoppingen, Germany), and 16th International Sculpture Triennial, Poznan (2009). While she was in residence in Studio 18 Fumiko trasnfromed the studio into a site repsonsive installation.
