Line Shadows presented a new installation work by 2014 Gertrude Studio Artist Taree Mackenzie in the Studio 12 Project Space.

Taree Mackenzie's videos and installations combine colour, light and space to create a sense of wonder and surprise. Using simple lighting tricks and kinetics, Mackenzie builds works that challenge our received notions of visual perception.  Recent exhibitions include New14, Australian Centre for Contemporary Art; Melbourne Now, National Gallery of Victoria; History is our audience, West Space; FX, Centre for Contemporary Photography; Menage a trois, Enjoy Public Art Gallery, Wellington; UN Magazine 6.1 Launch, Death be Kind, Melbourne; The First and Final Y3K Second (third) Inaugural Melbourne Biennial of International Arts, Y3K Gallery, Melbourne. Taree holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting) from the Victorian College of the Arts.
