STUDIO 12 | SOREN DAHLGAARD : MOBILE ISLAND

Exhibition dates: 27 March – 9 May 2015
Exhibition opening: 6pm Friday 27 March 2015

In his drawings, Melbourne-based Danish artist Søren Dahlgaard explores ideas pertaining to the transformation of familiar objects, methods and concepts in areas as diverse as architecture, painting, sculpture, inflatables and life in general. Many of these ideas have been realised in a range of media such as performance, photography, video, inter-active sculpture and installation works. For his Studio 12 exhibition Mobile Island, Dahlgaard concentrated on the transformative qualities of drawing, creating an immersive installation from a large number of ink on paper drawings of various different sizes.
