Studio 12 Exhibition

Using drawing, installation and painting as a means of testing our relationship to everyday life, James Lynch reinvents images and objects from popular culture and advertising. You're Unreal encompassed paintings of postcard sunsets, landscape and still life scenes, together with images reprised from holiday brochures, car magazines and popular magazine production. Installed in a mock architectural setting reminiscent of domestic or club interior, Lynch's paintings played up the way in which experience, memory, fantasy and illusion give shape to the constructed world in which we live.
