Louisa Bufardeci’s exhibition continued the artist’s visual analysis of the statistical occurrence of deaths in custody in Australia, contrasting the clinical mathematic experience associated with statistics with stark visual and aural sensations. Bufardeci’s mechanisms placed on top of music stands arranged in a circle, with a stool in the middle, invited the viewer to contemplate the implications of cultural displacement and confinement.
