ZHONG CHEN

Zhong Chen was born in 1970 in Zhongshan, China and arrived in Australia in 1989. Chen's work explores his trans-cultural identity, and is heavily inspired by his Chinese heritage. His works examine, highlight and celebrate the cultural, political and historical relationships between  Australia and China, and their respective approaches to narrative and image making in contemporary art. Chen was a Gertrude studio artist between 2001 and 2003.
