RENEE SO

Renee So completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at RMIT University in 1997. Since graduating she has exhibited in both artist-run and public galleries presenting individual exhibitions at Craft Victoria, Melbourne 2003; Gallery 4A, Sydney 2002; Studio 12, Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces, Melbourne 2002; Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces, Melbourne 2000; TCB Inc. Art, Melbourne 1999; and Tenement Gallery, Melbourne 1998. Recent group exhibitions have included 'We don’t charge for looking', Block, Sydney 2002; 'Yarns', Jewish Museum of Australia, Melbourne 2001; 'Departures', Bus Gallery 2001; Sample', Kinki Gerlinki and Centre for Contemporary Photography, as part of the Melbourne Fashion Festival 2001; 'Tougher than Art', 1st Floor, Melbourne 2001; Blink, Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Next Wave Festival, Melbourne 2000; Insects, TCB Inc., 2000; and 'Flux: Works in Progress', George Paton Gallery, Melbourne 2000. Renee is a founding member of Bus Gallery. In 2000, Renee received an Australia Council VACF Grant for New Work.
