NATASHA JOHNS-MESSENGER

Natasha Johns-Messenger completed a Masters in Fine Art at RMIT University in 2000. Since 1994, she has been actively exhibiting in both artist-run spaces and public galleries including individual exhibitions at Bus Gallery (with Chris Bond), Melbourne 2002; Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces, Melbourne 2001; George Paton Gallery, University of Melbourne 2000; Stripp Gallery, Melbourne 1998; and 4E Gallery, New York 1996. She has also participated in a number of group exhibitions including Project Room, Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces, Melbourne Art Fair, Royal Exhibition Buildings, Melbourne 2002;Gloss, Nadiff, Tokyo and Centre for Contemporary Art, Melbourne 2002; Spacecraft 0701, Monash University Museum of Art, Melbourne 2001; and Fixate, George Paton Gallery, University of Melbourne 2000. In 2001, Natasha was awarded the Museum of Victoria, Sculpture Commission, Scienceworks Museum, Spotswood; and in 2000, received the Jaguar/Belle Designers of the Future Award for Public Art/Installation.
