David Jolly has achieved much critical acclaim as a talented painter and articulated drawer since graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts, 1992. His subject matter reflects times, places and events that that he has experienced personally.

He has held numerous solo exhibitions in Australia and abroad. Jolly was a recipient of a residency at Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces, where he held a studio from 1993-95, and was a founding member of Melbourne's "Stripp Gallery".
