19.11.2021 – 18.12.2021

The aesthetics of labour
Kay Abude

Exhibition Dates: 19 November - 18 December 2021
Opening: Thursday 18 November, 6-8pm

The aesthetics of labour is a series of new sculptural and performative works that extend Abude's long-standing interests in themes of labour, production and value.

Kay Abude is a multi-disciplinary artist working in sculpture, large-scale installation, performance, photography and silk-screen printing. Abude is fascinated with the banality of work and the nature of labour, with its economic, repetitive and somatic properties, and how work connects and separates us, taking so much of our time that it comes to define our lives.
