The annual Studio Artists’ exhibition is a flagship project in the annual program, presenting the work of artists currently tenanted at 200 Gertrude Street. Make It Yourself alludes to the idea of independent production and the do-it-yourself pragmatism of the bootleg recording and cover version, whereby public and private codes are adopted, sampled and transformed by artists in the creation of revised ideas, objects and architectures.
