LOOP

Curated by Amelia Bartak.

A touring exhibition supported by the Gordon Darling Foundation and NETS Victoria.

Curated by Amelia Bartak, Loop was an exhibition that explored various points of intersection between contemporary visual art and craft. It brought together four women artists whose work incorporates traditional craft practices such as sewing, crochet and embroidery, but was firmly placed within the domain of contemporary art. Using these techniques, Loop explored the various sites of rupture in our 'sense' of what is art and what is craft. Larissa Hjorth, Louise Rippert, Louise Weaver and Louiseann Zahra incorporated stitched or threaded elements within their methods of working.
