Studio 12 Exhibition

Revelling in the celebratory signage of carnivals and car yards, Andrea Tu transformed Studio 12 into a riot of colour for he exhibition F-1 Pageant. Horizontal stripes in cobalt, orange and yellow, painted at eye-level, encircled the space, vying with strings of triangular flags strung from the ceiling. Continuing the artist’s interest in interior design and its confluence with (post) modern aesthetics, Tu’s F1-Pageant sought to achieve a state of pure, unadulterated spectacle in the sense of ‘empty display’.
