STUDIO 12 | AMANDA FLORENCE: BABY GRANDE

Studio 12 Exhibition

Amanda Florence's digital prints and adhesive vinyl collages explore architectural form. Her works simultaneously resist and engage the conventions of perspective to create new and complex spatial configurations. With Baby Grande, Florence's Work sought to replicate the smoke and mirror aesthetics of entertainment complexes, whilst also finding a structural form analogous to the amplification of music or sound in space. Using reflective holographic panelling, and collage, Florence developed a speculative and highly textured architectural space with a perspective rush akin to the musical crescendo.
